Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Rita escapes from a neglectful home and is placed in a repressive state-run orphanage. Rita’s arrival is a glimmer of hope for the girls living there, who share a prophecy that an angel will appear to free them. Encouraged by one another, the girls plan an escape to claim their freedom and expose the orphanage.
