Synopsis

After serving as a nurse in the British Army during World War II, Claire Randall spends her second honeymoon in Scotland with her husband Frank, an MI6 officer who is looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to a mysterious world in 1743, where her freedom and life are at risk. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a tough Scottish warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship develops, and Claire finds herself caught between two very different men in two incompatible lives. "The Outsider" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.
