Synopsis

As the world teeters on the brink of destruction, Dietrich Bonhoeffer joins a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler, risking his faith and destiny to save millions of Jews from genocide. Niemöller’s actor, August Diehl, previously played a Gestapo SS officer in the film The Merciless Years.

Several people in our group cried throughout the film because of how touching and pragmatic his life story is in this film

Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply not be believed – moreover, a fool can object by criticizing them, and if they are indisputable, they can be simply thrown aside as trivial exceptions.. Yesterday evening we had a small church group of 10 people, who went together to watch this powerful film, and all 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed the film.

We really liked the film!

The powerful message we all felt in this film was for Christians to be Christians to everyone they meet and to have the courage to stand up for what they believe in and do it with love and care even when faced with the unbelievable difficulties against you. For all of us, the message was clear, and his courageous actions were an inspiration.
